Laxman Jhula: The famous hanging bridge across Ganga, is about 3 km from the main township of Rishikesh. It is 450 feet long and is situated at a height of 70 feet from the river. As per mythological tales, once Laxman, the younger brother of Lord Rama, crossed river Ganga at the same site where the bridge now stands. At that time, there was only a suspension bridge, made of jute. After this incident, the bridge came to be known as ‘Laxman Jhula’. With time, the jute bridge eroded and a new iron bridge was built along the same path in 1939.

HAR - KI- PAURI: It is one of holiest ghat and believed that Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu are believed to have visited the Brahmakund in Har ki Paudi in the Vedic times. There is a large footprint said to belong to Lord Vishnu on a stone wall. Har ki pauri is also the area where thousands of pilgrims converge and the festivities commence during the Kumbha Mela to get holy dip and all the last rites & customs of expire person are performed here without it the divine journey does not began.

WAGA BORDER CEREMONY: Wagah Boarder you can witness the harmonious confluence of the two nations India and Pakistan.  Wagah border is famous for a one of a kind ceremony. The flags of two adjoining nations - India & Pakistan are hosted at this border & at sunset there is a ceremony of bringing down & folding the flags.
