It is illegal to bring rupees in or out of India. Major currencies such as US dollars, British pounds and Euros are easy to exchange throughout India at airport banks, hotels and many vendors

It is suggested to avoid drinking the tap water or using it to brush your teeth. Bottled water is widely available and provided in vehicles on our trips. Some lodges provide filtered water which is also safe. 

Every foreign national must have a visa for entry into India.
